Water For Healthy Body Metabolism

What should be the adequate intake of water for a healthy body. Does drinking more water help to reduce weight or gain weight. Which foods have more water content?

Water is extremely critical for the maintenance of good health, yet the need for water varies from individual to individual. Medical research has revealed that there are variable recommendations; however the water needs of an individual are contingent upon many elements, including the health of the individual, the physical fitness of the individual and the area where the individual resides. There is no exclusive or universal pattern that fits everybody; recognizing more the body’s requirement for fluids will help an individual forecast how much water has to be consumed every day.

Water is the body’s primary chemical constituent that accounts for approximately 65 percent of the body weight. Each and every organ and tissue in the body is dependent upon water. Water is necessary to get rid of harmful waste and toxins from the organs, it channels nourishment to all the cells in the body and provides the essential moisture surrounding the ear, the nose and the tissues of the throat. Inadequate water causes depletion of bodily fluids and an imbalance in the body’s ability to function normally. Even a mild case of depletion of bodily fluids can drain energy and make one feel extremely worn out. There are many advances that tend to estimate the body’s needs for water in a healthy adult residing in a moderate environmental condition.

Replenishment approach. An average healthy adult outputs about 1.4 liters (6.1 cups) of urine every day. Additionally, an extra liter of water a day is lost through the process of respiration, perspiration and bowel movements. Hence if an individual consumes two liters of water in addition to a well balanced diet he / she is likely to substitute the lost fluids.

Drinking approximately eight ounces of glasses every day. One popular method that is well-known is to drink approximately 1.8 liters of water every day. However this approach has not yet been substantiated by medical research, and hence cannot be used as a basic rule of thumb for how much water and or fluids need to be drunk on a daily basis.

Foods That Contain High Water Content

Dietary recommendations: According to medical institutional research men must drink more or less three liters of total liquids a day which also includes water while women must drink around 2.2 liters of total liquids each day.

Keep in mind that you must always drink enough fluids or water so as to quench your thirst. At the same time urine must be of a colorless or very slightly yellowish appearance. This is proof that the bodily fluid intake is in all likelihood enough.
